About the Artist 艺术家简介
Born and raised in Perak, Saiful Azmi pursued a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts at UiTM Manjung, Perak (1996-1999). He continued to obtain a Diploma in Visual Arts Education at Maktab Tunku Bainon, Bukit Mertajam, Pulau Pinang (2000-2001). These formative years not only equipped him with technical skills but also instilled in him a deep appreciation for education. He is currently a teacher at SMK Jelai, Perak.
Notable exhibitions include ‘Pameran Julung’, Muzium Melaka (1998); Penang State Art Gallery Open Show, Penang (2001); Sabah Art Gallery Open Show, Kota Kinabalu (2005); Shah Alam Art Gallery Open Show, Selangor (2010, 2012 & 2017); ‘Teacher’s Day Exhibition’, Larut Matang and Selama District Education Office, Taiping (2016); ‘Harvest’, Younie Gallery, Kuala Lumpur (2019); and ‘Pameran Kumpulan Manjung: Manusia dan Alamnya’, Creative Space, National Art Gallery Kuala Lumpur (2019).
