Born in Penang in 1976, Elain Wong graduated with a certificate at the Equator College in Interior Design in 2006. She was recognised as a USA Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT Asia#01) in 2016. She has taken the role as a Zentangle Teacher ever since with the purpose to promote mindfulness and well-being of the people.
As a member of the Penang Art Society, Elain Wong exhibited her artworks in the “Penang Arts Society Anniversary Exhibition” held in Penang State Art Gallery, Penang consecutively for years 2018, 2019 and 2020. In 2019, she took part in the “Meet Up Artist Exhibition” in China House, Penang. She further exhibited in the “Angel’s Hand International Women Day Exhibition” organised in the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, Kuala Lumpur as well as the “Mid-Autumn Art Exhibition 2019” held in the Performing Arts Centre of Penang, Straits Quay, Penang.
In 2020, Elain Wong joined the “BELANG: Save Our Malayan Tiger Campaign” art exhibition held in Penang State Art Gallery, Penang organised in collaboration with the Department of Wildlife and National Parks Peninsular Malaysia (PERHILITAN). Her artwork – “The Eyes” was chosen as the finalist in the “MyTIGER Values Art Competition 2020” organised by Maybank Foundation. She also participated in the ASEAN – China (Guiyang) Belt and Road Culture and Tourism Exchange Week’s Virtual Expo and “The Ocean Calls” exhibition held in Island Gallery, Penang.
