Younie Gallery is pleased to present ‘The Golden Ages’, a group exhibition that brings together 13 Malaysian artists whose practices are defined by decades of sustained inquiry, discipline, and reinvention. Each artist, now beyond the age of fifty, embodies a passage of time in which the act of making has become inseparable from the act of living.

The works assembled here are not simply the product of experience, but of its distillation: brushstrokes that carry the gravity of memory, gestures sharpened by persistence, and visions expanded through endurance. In their maturity, these artists are not retreating into mastery but continuing to test its edges, forging new vocabularies that are both deeply personal and culturally resonant.

‘The Golden Ages’ is both celebration and meditation — a recognition of the vitality that endures within seasoned hands, and a reflection on how art, over time, becomes an archive of seeing, questioning, and becoming.
