Born in Johor, Malaysia, in 1938 and now based in Singapore, Heng Wei Chia serves as the Chairman of The Bishan Chinese Calligraphy Club, a Director of the Shicheng Calligraphy & Seal-Carving Society, and the South East Asia Calligraphers' Association (SEACA). Heng began his calligraphy journey in 1994 after retiring, studying under the renowned late Ho Ngiap Poh. He draws inspiration from the classical works of Yan Zhenqing, Ouyang Xun, Zhao Mengfu, Mi Fu, and the "Two Wangs" (Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi), while his cursive script reflects the influence of Sun Guoting, Wang Duo, and Yu Youren. In 2001, he completed a correspondence course in calligraphy with the China Calligraphy and Painting International University.

Despite starting his artistic pursuit in his 50s, Heng’s dedication and prolific output have earned him widespread recognition. Since 2000, his works have been showcased in numerous local and international exhibitions, including in Singapore, Malaysia, mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, and Brunei, and have been collected by institutions, private collectors, and exhibition organisers. In 2010, he received the Merit Award at the Dr. Tan Tsze Chor Art Award Competition for Chinese calligraphy. Heng held his first solo exhibition in 2014, accompanied by a catalogue of his works, and in 2019, he launched his book “Thousand Words Cursive Calligraphy” at the National Library Board Singapore.

王怀正，1938年生于柔佛州麻坡，祖籍广东饶平，现为新加坡公民，是新加坡碧山书艺会主席及狮城书法篆刻会理事，并担任东盟书法家协会理事。他于1994年退休后正式开始书法学习，在已故何业波老师的指导下临习颜真卿《勤礼碑》及欧阳询《九成宫》，随后钻研魏碑、赵孟頫、米芾及二王行书（王羲之、王献之父子），草书则深受孙过庭、王铎及于右任等大家影响，自成风格。王怀正不仅重视技法的提升，也注重书法理论研究。他于2001年完成中国书画函授大学书法课程，理论与实践并重。尽管年过半百才开始书法之路，他以“事在人为”的精神不断突破，取得显著成就。

他的作品自2000年起多次参加本地及中国、香港、台湾、马来西亚、韩国、印尼、汶莱等地的书法交流展、巡回展及邀请展，屡获好评，作品被多家机构及私人收藏。参与的展览有：”世界文化艺术联合总会”成立典礼暨53国书画及珍藏文物展，新加坡（2018）；“纪念郑成功收复台湾360周年国际书法展”，中国（2022)；“会馆精粹展”, 新加坡（2022）；“第二十四届义安全国潮人艺术展”，新加坡（2022）；南洋雅集七书友“翰墨情缘”书画展，新加坡品轩阁艺术画廊（2022），及“第25回世界书法艺术大展”，新加坡（2023）。2010年，他荣获陈之初博士美术奖书法组优秀奖；2014年举办“神游墨海“个展并出版同名作品集；2019年出版《王怀正草书千字文》，并在新加坡国家图书馆举办新书发布会。
