Mazuki Muhammad is a Kelantanese painter working primarily in watercolour, known for his meticulous attention to detail and poetic sensitivity to atmosphere, often drawing inspiration from village life and coastal landscapes along the East Coast of Malaysia. Of the same generation as Kelantanese artists Ismail Kadir, Mokhtar Ishak and Mahmood, Mazuki has developed a distinctive approach that departs from the influence of Kelantanese master Ismail Mat Hussin. He began exhibiting at 19, debuting at the Pameran Bakat Wawasan Negeri Kelantan (1996), and has since participated in over a dozen group shows, including Kelantan Art Association (PESENI) group show at Balai Seni Lukis Kelantan (2016), 'Lambaian Kelantan V' (2015) & 'G11 Group Exhibition' (2016) at City Art Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, and 'The World of Watercolour', Younie Gallery, Kuala Lumpur (2016). Since 2004, he has competed in numerous painting contests, winning top prizes such as the Teluk Cempedak Scenery Painting Contest (2013), Sungai Lembing Scenery Painting Contest (2014), Kuantan Scenery Painting Contest (2014), and the First Prize at the Art Festival of Warisan Kampung Cina, Kuala Terengganu (2014).
