题识：千山过雨秋如赭，丛木含风暮色苍。剪取银河天一尺，石溪绕复清湘。甲午。才标。溪下夺流字。

Inscriptions: After rain, a thousand peaks glow with autumn's ochre. Trees sway as dusk falls. Streams, like a slice of the Milky Way, meander over Xiang River stones. Year of Jiawu. Chai Phiaw. Missing character "liu (流)" under "xi (溪)."
About the Artist 艺术家简介
郭才标是砂拉越古晋名闻四方的传统水墨画家，亦是本土传统水墨画基础深厚中的佼佼者。他在1962年负笈台湾，在台湾师范大学修学纯美艺术系。当时就有国宝级的台湾艺术大师，黄君璧、林玉山、溥心畬、廖继春及马白水等亲自授课。于是在他的作品中，传承了这些大家的艺术思想与风范，拥有着深沉的传统绘画基础与格式。回国后，他就一直从事艺术绘画钻研与发扬的工作，于多所中学教导美术。退休后，郭才标设立画室，坚持不懈地培养绘画人才。2008年，郭才标获得被砂州政府选为 “砂拉越第一代艺术家” 的荣誉。2015年，他的个人水墨画展“回归传统”于吉隆坡颜丽轩画廊举办。2017年，一场纪念郭才标的“思念如许长” - 郭才标门生书画作品展于古晋文雅轩举行。
Hailing from Kuching, the late Kueh Chai Phiaw was a dedicated classical Chinese ink artist. In 1962, Kueh studied fine arts at the Taiwan Normal University, where he was directly taught under important art masters including Huang Junbi, Lin Yushan, Pu Xinyu, Liao Jichun and Ma Baishui. Upon returning to Malaysia, he committed himself to both artistic creation and art education, teaching art in several high schools. In 2008, he was recognised as “The First-Generation Artists in Sarawak” by the state government. In 2015, his solo Chinese ink exhibition was held at Younie Gallery, Kuala Lumpur. In 2017, an exhibition in memory of him was held at Boonia Art Gallery, Kuching.
