钟正川被尊称为“马来西亚的齐白石”。钟正川的水墨作品独具特色，不仅展现了南洋艺术风格的独特之处，还融合了他童年回忆的片段，呈现出独具个人风格的绘画作品。2019年，钟正川荣获第五届世界杰出大师里的马来西亚杰出书法与艺术大师卓越奖，这是他卓越的艺术成就的认可。此外，他还担任了多个重要职务，包括马来西亚水墨画协会总会长、新加坡书法家协会及新加坡书法研究院院士、中国书画家研究会顾问、香港世界艺术家联合会副总会长等等。

钟正川成功举办近百场个人画展，并参与多次国际大展，如亚洲美术联盟美展、马来西亚十大名家作品展、国际现代水墨画名家精选巡回展等。钟正川在中国、马来西亚和台湾建立了多所个人美术馆，培养了遍布30多个国家的学生，为美术教育作出杰出贡献。钟正川的作品不仅受到国际艺术界的认可，还受到了各国美术馆、博物馆、艺术研究院的珍藏，同时也被来自各国的博物馆、团体、多国元首、首相、外交使节等作私人收藏，如：马来西亚国家画廊、马来西亚国家迎宾馆、中国艺术研究院、齐白石纪念馆、张大千纪念馆、韩国文化艺术馆、 台湾国立教育美术馆、马来西亚前首相政要等等。

Chong Chen Chuan, a highly acclaimed ink painting artist honoured as the "Qi Baishi of Malaysia", is celebrated for his profound mastery of this art form. His works are a fusion of the Nanyang art style's distinctive features and fragments of his childhood memories, resulting in paintings characterized by a unique personal style. In 2019, Chong received the 5th World Grand Master Awards as Malaysia Most Outstanding Calligraphy and Art Grandmaster Excellence Award, a testament to his exceptional artistic achievements. His influential roles include serving as the President of the Malaysia Chinese Ink Painting Society; the Honorary Advisor (former President) of the Calligraphy Society of Malaysia; the Fellow of Chinese Calligraphy/Painting Society of Singapore & Singapore Institute of Chinese Calligraphy/Painting; the Honorary Advisor of the Chinese Painting & Calligraphy Society of China; the Vice-President of Hong Kong World Artist Association and so on.

Chong's impact transcends borders, as evidenced by his successful organization of nearly a hundred solo exhibitions and participation in various international art exhibitions. He established numerous art museums across China mainland, Malaysia, and Taiwan and nurtured students from over 30 countries – a tremendous contribution to the art world. His artworks are highly regarded and sought after, finding homes in galleries, museums, and art research institutions globally, and also cherished by private collectors, museums, organizations, heads of state, prime ministers, and diplomatic envoys from diverse countries. These include such as the National Gallery of Malaysia, the National Guest House of Malaysia, the Chinese Academy of Arts, the Qi Baishi Memorial Hall, the Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall, the Korean Culture and Art Museum, the National Educational Museum of Taiwan, and have found admiration among former Malaysian Prime Ministers and other distinguished figures.
